Frequently asked questions
Everything you might want to know about CalledUp. Tap a question to see the answer.
- Why is CalledUp free?
- Honestly? Coaches already pay plenty, just in time. Between practices, lineups, emails to parents, and everything else, running a team is basically a second job. You shouldn't have to pay on top of all that just to get your lineups out a little faster. It costs me about $20 a month to run CalledUp, and I'm a coach who actually uses it for my own team, so keeping it free costs me less than what I'd be paying for the other apps anyway. If that ever has to change, I'll tell you straight up.
- What is CalledUp?
- CalledUp is a team management app for little league and rec baseball. It keeps your roster, schedule, lineups, and parent messages all in one place, so you spend less time on the logistics and more time actually coaching.
- Who is CalledUp for?
- It's for the volunteer coaches running youth baseball teams and the parents trying to keep up with the season. If you're juggling a roster, a schedule, and a group chat full of questions, this is for you.
- Do I need to install anything?
- Nope. CalledUp runs in any web browser, so you can use it on your phone or computer without downloading a thing. There's also an iOS app if you'd rather have it on your home screen, and if you want to track game stats, that part is iOS only for now.
- Can parents use it too?
- Yep. Parents can check the schedule, RSVP to games and practices, and stay in the loop without you having to chase everyone down in a group chat.
- How is CalledUp different from GameChanger or TeamSnap?
- CalledUp sticks to the everyday stuff that actually eats up a coach's time: rosters, lineups, schedules, and talking to parents. No price tag, and none of the clutter. It's free, it's simple, and it was built by a coach who needed it.
- Is my team data safe?
- Yes. Your roster and team info stay private to your team, and we never sell your data. If you want the full details on how it's collected and protected, take a look at our Privacy Policy.
